Guillotine è un gioco davvero davvero carino, semplice ma non per questo scontato o ripetitivo. Buono la grafica e la qualità delle carte, intelligente e divertente la meccanica di gioco. Le fasi scorrono veloci ed il ritmo resta sempre alto, per non dire frenetico... Certo, resta pur sempre un filler e nulla di più, ma nella sua semplicità nasconde sfumature strategiche di tutto rispetto! Il numero ideale di giocatori è, a parer mio, 2 o 3 al massimo: in più lo svolgimento del gioco rischia di essere eccessivamente casuale ed influenzato dalla dea bendata. Al contrario, in 2 o 3 si riesce ad imbastire una propria strategia e si ha la sensazione di incidere effettivamente sul risultato finale. Lo consiglio a tutti, esperti e non! VOTO: 7 1/2.

The French Revolution is famous in part for the use of the guillotine to put nobles to death, and this is the macabre subject of this light card game. As executioners pandering to the masses, the players are trying to behead the least popular nobles. Each day the nobles are lined up and players take turns killing the ones at the front of the line until all the nobles are gone. However, players are given cards which will manipulate the line order right before 'harvesting,' which is what makes the game interesting. After three days worth of chopping, the highest total carries the day.
