Sto organizzando un torneo on line di Memoir '44, da giocare attraverso il game engine VASSAL. L'iscrizione è totalmente gratuita. Tutte le informazioni necessarie sono contenute nel resto dell'articolo.

I created a new Yahoo! Group for everyone interested in playing a Memoir 44 on line tournament through VASSAL engine.

To subscribe the group, simply send an e-mail to the address:

If someone would like to enroll himself to the tournament, he must simply add a record to the table "Tournament_1" of the database linked in home page (http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/m44tournaments/database), reporting:
- the nickname used on VASSAL;
- the country where he lives;
- an e-mail address (optional, but useful for opponents who must organize their tournament matches).
Obviously, the permission to adding a new record is reserved to subscribed members of the group.
The subscriptions will remain open until monday 21, at 11.59pm (Italian time). For this first tournament, the maximum number of players allowed is 32. If the number of subscribed players will excede this quote, only the first 32 players will be able to partecipate to the tournament (the remaining players will be automatically inserted in the first places of the next tournament).
The 32 players will be separated in 2 groups, each one of 16 players. This separation IS NOT random: I will TRY to avoid that players living on the same country could play against during the first tournament rounds.
From every groups, will be extracted the players' pairs who will fight against. The players will have 4 DAYS (i will comunicate, through the mailing list, when this time limit will start) to organize their matches and report me the final result.
The player who wins 2 matches will be the winner of the challenge and it will be promoted to the next round. The final match will be fighted by the winners of their respective groups.
The scenarios where the tournament will be fighted will be comunicated soon.
