Thurn und Taxis - 2. Auflage
Derzeit planen wir die 2. Auflage von Thurn und Taxis. Nachdem das Spiel mit viel Begeisterung gespielt wird - was uns natürlich sehr freut - , haben wir unzählige Rückmeldungen von den Fans des Spiels erhalten.
Ein Punkt stand dabei an erster Stelle: Die Funktion des Bonus-Plättchens "Außerhalb Baiern" führt immer wieder zu Nachfragen. Deswegen wird das Plättchen ab der 2. Auflage "Alle Länder" heißen und wie folgt funktionieren:
Um das Plättchen "Alle Länder" zu erhalten, muss man in jedem Land mindestens in 1 Stadt vertreten sein.
Am praktischen Spielablauf wird sich dadurch nichts ändern. Es wird wohl noch keinem Spieler das Kunststück gelungen sein in jedem Land, nicht aber in Baiern vertreten zu sein. Mit dieser neuen Formulierung sollte es nun keine Fragen mehr geben.

At present we plan the second edition of Thurn and Taxis. The game has garnered much enthusiasm - which naturally makes us very happy - and we’ve received lots of feedback from the fans of the game. One point has stood out: The function of the bonus “outside of Baiern” chits has lead to confusion. Therefore, starting from the second edition, the chits will become “all countries” and work this way: in order to receive the “all countries” chit, one must at be represented in one city in each country. In the practical play of the game nothing else will change. With this new rule there should be now no more questions.
Editor’s Note: First of all, this change is extremely minor. As a matter of fact, it was very rare to get the “outside of Baiern” chit without being in Baiern anyway! Secondly, this change harkens back to when Hans im Glück changed the farmer scoring for Carcassonne in order to appease the Spiel des Jahres committee. Was the change to Thurn und Taxis made for the same reason? Only time will tell…
