Monopoly World Edition è la versione internazionale del gioco di contrattazione più famoso del mondo. Per ragazzi da 8 anni in su, con Monopoly World Edition si possono sfidare da 2 a 6 giocatori. Le regole sono quelle della versione classica del gioco: vince la partita l’ultimo “finanziere” rimasto in partita dopo che tutti gli altri sono finiti in bancarotta. I giocatori acquistano i vari terreni, i siti per i trasporti e le società e cercano di accrescerne sempre più il valore combinandoli in serie complete e costruendovi case e alberghi, in modo che chiunque vi si vada a fermare debba pagare al proprietario affitti sempre più “salati”. La novità consiste nel tabellone: accanto alle tradizionali caselle del VIA!, della prigione e del parcheggio gratuito, i terreni sono sostituiti dalle più importanti città del mondo, per dare un gusto internazionale alla sfida. Inoltre, poiché siamo nel mondo della finanza globale, le classiche banconote sono sostituite da pratiche carte con chip integrato che tengono conto di accrediti e pagamenti attraverso una modernissima banca elettronica e regolano qualsiasi transazione, fra più giocatori o fra il singolo giocatore e la banca. Comprare, vendere, pagare e costruire la propria fortuna in tutto il mondo non è mai stato così avvincente!
