In an ancient fantasy world, you are the ruler of one of the seven unique kingdoms. Following the assassination of the High Council that used to unite the kingdoms, trust is gone. Rival rulers now vie for dominance, striving to be the one that rules them all. Welcome to The Fall of Kingdoms - a fast-paced strategic social deduction board game. Your goal here is to outsmart other players, destroy their realms, and be the last kingdom standing. Each player starts the game with three Character cards (two known, one unknown), two Destiny cards, two coins, and a kingdom board with Defense at 3 and Morale at 2. The game ends for a player when their kingdom's Defense hits zero or when all of their Character cards are eliminated. To navigate through this complex landscape of power and deception, players have a variety of strategies and tools at their disposal: Character Cards: Players use these to sabotage, spy, manipulate, assassinate, attack, and fortify against rivals, leveraging the unique abilities of each Character to gain an upper hand. Destiny Cards: These cards introduce over 30 unpredictable events that can dramatically shift the course of gameplay, offering surprises that can be used to a player’s advantage. Diplomacy: A key aspect of the game where players negotiate to join forces, make threats, and manipulate other rulers, navigating a complex web of alliances and betrayals. Bluff: Players can bluff about their Character cards and Destiny cards, using the element of surprise to outsmart opponents and secure a tactical edge. Accuse: A strategic move where players can eliminate an opponent’s Character card from play by correctly guessing which Character they are using. Kingdom Attack: This action allows a player to directly attack other kingdoms, aiming to reduce their Defense and bring it closer to destruction. Morale: Represents the economic health and spirit of a kingdom, influencing its cash flow and ability to carry out certain actions. The game scales seamlessly between 2 to 7 players and is designed for quick, engaging sessions lasting 20 to 40 minutes. Each player will have one minute max during their turn, ensuring that The Fall of Kingdoms remains fast-paced and engaging throughout. This blend of strategic depth, the unpredictability of Destiny cards, and the dynamic player interactions through diplomacy and deception creates a richly immersive experience that is both challenging and rewarding. —description from the designer
