Spain Rails takes us back to the tumultuous time of the creation of railways in Spain in the 1800s. Unlike other countries, there was no real standardization or controls, it was reminiscent of the old west, with a plethora of rail gauges and no real government controls. The game is for 3-5 players for about 90 minutes, the player with most money wins the game. In addition to a game board comprising two 11x17 sheets, easy to read color railroad stocks are provided, in addition to the rules. Beside that, Spain Rails uses the components found in Preußische Ostbahn (Winsome), then German Railways (Queen) and now Prussian Rails (Rio Grande). The game is designed to be conveniently playable using the components found in any one of the three aforementioned games. Nevertheless, you do not have to own any of the above mentioned games to play Spain Rails, it is a stand alone game with a complete rulebook.
