Designed by Kevin Wilson, Civilization: The Board Game is inspired by the legendary video game series created by Sid Meier. Players are tasked with guiding an entire civilization throughout the ages, taking ownership of your people’s technology, economy, culture, and military, as well as all the choices that go along with them. There are four different paths to victory, and each is riddled with opposition.
In Civilization: The Board Game, 2-4 players take on the roles of famous leaders in charge of historical civilizations, each with their own abilities. Players will be able to explore a module game board, build cities and buildings, fight battles, research powerful technology, and attract great people by advancing their culture. No matter what your play style is, there is a civilization for you!

Partiamo dal presupposto che adoro il videogioco, passare al GdT a me spaventa sempre un po', ma tutto sommato qui è andata bene.
Ovvio gioco che non è facile da digerire: è moltolungo, la guerra è spietata (e se - come me - sei già poco abile nel campo... ciao proprio), le civiltà sono tutte diverse e onostamente alcune sono caratterizzate meglio di altre. Detto questo a mio gusto resta un buon gioco di civilizzazione, mi dispiace non giocarlo da tempo proprio per la mancanza di tempo.
(2014) Commento basato su poche partite fatte in 2 giocatori Longevità: 1.75 Regolamento: 2 Divertimento: 2 Materiali: 2 Originalità: 1 Totale: 8.75 -> 9 Gran giocone, non adatto ai neofiti non tanto per la difficoltà del gioco in se ma per l'apprendimento iniziale delle regole che richiede un certo impegno. Come meccaniche personalmente mi ricorda molto il gioco per pc (ovviamente con le debite proporzioni) e questo è un punto a suo favore. Pecca principale (anche se non è un vero difetto): ci vuole una tavola molto spaziosa e ci si mette un po' a preparare il gioco :-) Consigliato!
Edit dopo quasi un decennio: il gioco è invecchiato male, nel senso che a oggi ci sono prodotti migliori. La sua figura la fa sempre però
